B. How we use “Cookies” and “Action Tags.”
A “cookie” is a small data file sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer. We use cookies to let us know that you are a prior customer, user or Member and to provide certain features to you. Most web browsers allow you to instruct the browser to prevent the use of cookies. However, if you disable this feature, certain aspects of the Services, such as the shopping basket, may not function properly.
We have relationships with third parties who may collect or receive information directly from the cookies placed by our Service on your computer to assist in analyzing our business and customers.
Our Service may also use a common web technology called “action tags” (also called single pixel gifs or web beacons) to track purchase, usage and other web activity information. Action tags may be used to provide data to third parties. In addition, third parties may set their own cookies and tags through our Service (such as through interest-based advertising, described below). We do not control such third parties or their privacy practices. If you do not want third parties to be able to use such methods, you should modify your browser settings to limit such access.

You may also opt out of tracking by our partner Criteo, who helps us to personalize your experience and advertise to you across platforms after you’ve interacted with our website or other content across the web. To withdraw your consent from Criteo, please visit them at https://www.criteo.com/privacy/disable-criteo-services-on-internet-browsers/. These opt-out processes rely upon an opt-out cookie for each browser and each device, so if you delete your cookies or use a different computer, you will have to repeat this process. We do not respond to or honor “do not track” (a/k/a DNT) signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.

NOTICE OF FINANCIAL INCENTIVES & NON-DISCRIMINATION/BONA FIDE LOYALTY PROGRAM
If you are a California or Colorado resident participating in our loyalty program or promotional marketing offers, this may apply to you:
We offer our customers certain programs and opportunities, as described below, which provide certain perks such as rewards and exclusive offers. When you sign up for one of these programs, we typically ask you to provide your name and contact information (such as email address and/or telephone number). Because our programs involve the collection of personal information and offering of certain benefits, they might be interpreted as a “bona fide loyalty program” under Colorado law or a “financial incentive” program under California law. Generally, we do not assign monetary or other value to personal information. However, in the context of a “financial incentive” under California law, the value of your personal information to us is related to the purchases you make as a result of the offers or benefits that you receive by participating in one of the below programs, which value varies based on the product(s) you purchase and the extent to which you use those offers or benefits on future purchases from us. Such value must also be measured in conjunction with any expenses we incur, including but not limited to, the discounted or free products or services, or other benefits that you obtain or that are provided as part of the incentives, as well as the expense related to offering those products, services, and benefits to you as a participant. For example, a $10.00 discount will vary in value depending on the product(s) purchased by you.
Loyalty Program
We offer our customers a loyalty program, the Purpl Rewards Loyalty Program (the “Program”), that provides certain rewards and benefits, such as discounts on purchases, shipping upgrades, and free products or samples. You can sign up for the Program by registering for a free FragranceNet.com account on our website at FragranceNet.com or via our mobile application. When you sign up for the Program, we ask you to provide your name and email address. You may also optionally provide your birthday information, zip code and/or mobile telephone number. The purpose of the Program is to encourage repeat business with FragranceNet.com and to enhance your shopping experience. We will never discriminate against you if you choose to exercise any of the privacy rights described in this Privacy Policy.
You may cancel your participation in the Program at any time by contacting our customer service team by email at rewards@fragrancenet.com or by telephone at 1-800-PARFUMS (727-3867), Monday through Friday during the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Time. Visit Purpl Rewards Terms and Conditions for complete details.
We do not collect any personal data or sensitive data through our Program that will be sold or processed for targeted advertising, nor will any third parties (as defined by applicable law) receive any personal data collected through the Program. We do share some of the personal data collected through the Program with our service providers, including our email, SMS and platform providers, solely to provide the services and benefits under the Program. As defined by applicable state law, the Program does not have any benefits that are provided by a Program partner, nor does any Program benefit require the processing of personal data for sale or targeted advertising. If a customer exercises its right to delete its personal data and it impacts such customer’s Program membership and/or the ability to receive any Program benefit, we shall notify the customer in accordance with applicable state law. For example, a FragranceNet.com account is required for participation in the Program and an email address is required to create and maintain a FragranceNet.com account. If you decide to delete your email address, you will no longer have a FragranceNet.com account and we will no longer be able to provide you with any benefits under the Program as you would no longer be able participate in the Program without a FragranceNet.com account.
Promotional Marketing
We offer our customers the opportunity to sign up for special offers and promotions (collectively, the “Promotions”), such as discounts on purchases or free shipping. You can sign up for the Promotions on our website at FragranceNet.com or via our mobile application. When you sign up for the Promotions, we ask you to provide your email address and/or mobile telephone number.
At any time, you may opt out of future Promotions offered (i) by email by clicking the unsubscribe link in the Promotions email that you receive from us and (ii) by text message to your mobile telephone number by texting STOP to cancel.
